Rae Anne's Blanket - 15in Crochet Blanket

This blanket pattern is written to give you the least amount of ends to work in at the end of the blanket. You can just do it in solid colors or color change your own way. I hate working in ends so when I can just slip stitch or chain them up from the previous rows :)

Materials
4ply yarn
H hook
Scissors
Yarn needle

Pattern Abbreviations
ch = chain
sk = skip
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch



PATTERN
Special Stitch
V STITCH (VS) – dc, ch1, dc in stitch indicated
Chain 46

Row 1
(yellow)
Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each chain across, ch 2, slip stitch new color on creating 3rd ch, turn (do not cut strand)

Row 2
(grey)
Dc in each dc across, cut yarn and pull through at end of row, do not turn

Row 3
(yellow)
Return to start of Row 2, sl st row 1 yarn you left attached to top of ch 3, chain 3, dc across row in each dc, ch 2, sl st in next color, leave row 1 color attached, turn

Row 4
(white)
*Sk 2 dc, VS(dc,ch1,dc) in next dc. Repeat from * across to last dc, dc in stitch, cut yarn and pull through to finish row

Row 5
(yellow)
Return to start of Row 4, sl st row 3 yarn to top of start ch3, dc in each dc and ch1 space across row, ch 2, slip stitch new color on creating 3rd ch, turn (do not cut strand)

Round 6-21
Repeat rows 2-5 4 times

Round 22
(grey)
Repeat row 2

Row 23
(yellow)
Repeat row 3, at end of row cut yarn and pull through to finish


BORDER (worked in the round)
 
Round 1
With row 2 color attach at any corner with a slip stitch, ch 2, HDC around all edges of the blanket using 3hdc in each corner, slip stitch to ch 2 to end round.

Finish blanket by weaving in ends
