Poppy's Blanket - 15in Crochet Blanket

The one thing I love about granny square blankets... do you want it smaller? Don't do as many rounds. Bigger? Then do more before moving on to the border :) It's very easily adjustable! This one has a neat twist! You can't really tell where the rounds start and end :)

Materials
4ply yarn
H hook
Scissors
Yarn needle

Pattern Abbreviations
ch = chain
sk = skip
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch


PATTERN (worked in rounds)
Chain 4, sl stitch to first ch to make ring
 
Round 1
Ch 5, * 3 dc into ring, ch 2, repeat from * 2 times, then 2dc into ring, sl st in 3rd ch of start ch 5.
 
Round 2
Sl st into 4th ch of ch 5, ch 6, 2 dc in ch space, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, Corner (2 dc, ch 4, 2 dc) in ch space, repeat from * twice, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 1 dc in 3rd ch of the ch 5 of other round, 1 dc in next ch sp, sl st in 3rd ch of ch6
 
Round 3
Sl st into 4th ch of ch 6, ch 6, 2 dc in ch space, * 1 dc in each dc to corner, Corner (2 dc, ch 4, 2 dc) in ch space, repeat from * twice, 1 dc in each of the next dc st, 1 dc in 3rd ch of the ch 6 of other round, 1 dc in next ch sp, sl st in 3rd ch of ch 6
 
Round 4-11
Repeat Round 3



BORDER (worked in rounds)
Round 1
Ch 2, 4 hdc into corner space, hdc in each dc around. CORNERS (5 hdc in ch 5 space), sl st to connect round
 
Round 2
 Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, CORNER (3 sc in center stitch of 5 hdc group)

Finish blanket by weaving in ends

As I said before you could just do less rounds to make this blanket smaller, or you can follow the pattern and use a 3ply yarn like I did here :)
