Emmett's Blanket - 15in Crochet Blanket

This one seems to be a quicker stitch to work up and it gives you a BEAUTIFUL pattern and feel for the blanket.

Materials
4ply yarn
H hook
Scissors
Yarn needle

Pattern Abbreviations
ch = chain
sk = skip
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch


PATTERN
Chain 46

Row 1
(sc, hdc, dc in 4th chain from hook, *sk 2 ch, (sc, hdc, dc) in next chain, repeat from * across to last chain, hdc in last chain,  ch 2, turn

Row 2
(sc, hdc, dc) in next dc and in each dc stitch of previous row across, hdc in top of chain 2 of previous row, ch2, turn

Row 3-26

Repeat row 2 (switch colors every two rows)



BORDER (worked in rounds)
 
Round 1
Evenly HDC around with 3 hdc in corners, join with a sl st at end of round.

Round 2-3
With another color, sl st to join, ch 2, hdc around with 3 hdc in middle stitch of previous rows 3hdc corner, sl st to join round


Finish blanket by weaving in ends
